Double P Ranch – South Dakota Hunting Guides

Captain Matthew Luttmann

I was born and raised in central Florida, and have been fishing and hunting my entire life. I got into the guide business about ten years ago, running fishing charters for largemouth bass, snook, tarpon, and redfish. Did that for about 5 years until I realized my passion was guiding hunts. I have been guiding deer, hog, duck, and turkey hunts ever since. Specializing in archery hunts, I have put many folks on their first and/or largest trophy deer, Osceola turkey, or boar hog via spot and stalk or ground blinds. My goal first and foremost is to make sure that everybody is having a good time and getting their opportunities at the experience of a lifetime. My GSP and pointing lab will be ready to get the birds! In the winter months Matt guides charters out of Tampa/Clearwater Florida.

John Wookey

Hello and welcome to Pheasant Paradise, or rather the DoubleP Ranch!

My name is John Wookey. I have been hunting pheasants and deer in Clark County since I was 6 years old. My 125 year old family farm is about 6 miles from the ranch.  I run 2 Labs and a German Wire Hair.  Drake and Shay have an insatiable desire to flush pheasants for an unforgettable trip.  Mickey (my Wire Hair) will use his nose and solid points to get you great shot opportunities and awesome retrieves! I live to show new outdoorsmen and women a once in a lifetime experience that they will remember forever!

Nick Bilava

Nick grew up chasing ducks, turkey, geese, whitetail deer and pheasant in Nebraska.  Nick and his family operate a premier golden retriever kennel in Fremont, Nebraska. It’s an absolute joy to spend the day in the field watching Nick’s goldens in the field.

Korey ‘Mongo’ Siltman – Hunting Manager

Born and raised in Northern Minnesota, I have been fishing and hunting since I was old enough to hold a rod and later, a gun. I have always been an outdoors enthusiast with a great love and respect for the outdoors and all it entails. I served in the US Army for 5 years, serving a tour in Iraq. Upon leaving the Army I decided to follow my dreams and I attended the Colorado outdoor adventure guide school, completing all courses offered including the African plains game professional hunters course. I am lucky enough to do something I love. I have 2 chocolate labs Max and Trigger who are well trained and will work a field until they drop. I love to see people I am guiding have a once in a lifetime experience and I will bend over backwards to make sure they do!!

Taylor Heithold

I grew up hunting ducks on the Pamlico Sound of North Carolina. I have always had a passion for the outdoors whether it be fishing or hunting. It wasn’t until a little later in life that I went on my first pheasant hunt in South Dakota. After that first hunt I knew I was hooked. After college at NC State, I decided to follow my passion and guide waterfowl and upland bird hunts as a career. I attended Swan Mountain Wilderness Guide School in Montana. There is nothing better to me than creating memories that’ll last a lifetime with customers from all over the country. I love seeing the smile on someone’s face when they shoot their first duck or pheasant. In the off-season you will find me guiding quail hunts in SC/GA and running Striper fishing charters on Lake Hartwell, SC during the spring/summer. My Deutsch Drahthaar and German Shorthair live to hunt and we look forward to many more years of guiding bird hunts and creating memories! Give me a call at (704) 458-1654 if you’d like to schedule a Striper fishing trip on Lake Hartwell, SC/G!
