The Water
Guided Walleye Fishing, Lakes in Every Direction
Double P Ranch, near Clark, sits in the heart of northeastern South Dakota’s Glacial Lakes region, where the last ice age left behind a scatter of deep, fertile lakes across the prairie. Within a short drive of the lodge, there are more lakes than you can fish in a season — and our guides know which one is turning on this week.
That’s the advantage of fishing with people who live here. When the wind swings or the bite shifts, we don’t sit on a dead lake. We load up and go where the fish are.

South Dakota Cast-n-Blast
Two pursuits, one day, no compromises. Every morning and every afternoon, you choose how to spend it — and we handle everything else.
Morning
Choose OneProfessionally Guided Pheasant Hunting
Walk native grass and food plots behind trained pointing and flushing dogs, with an experienced guide reading the cover and the wind. Wild ring-necked roosters over Prairie Pothole country — the South Dakota pheasant hunting the state is famous for.
Guided Walleye or Trophy Smallmouth Fishing
First light on a glassy glacial lake chasing walleye, or our private lake for hard-fighting trophy smallmouth bass — new for 2027. A local guide has the boat, tackle, and bait ready when you step aboard.
Afternoon
Choose OneGuided Walleye or Trophy Smallmouth Fishing
Head back out as the afternoon bite turns on — walleye, pike, and perch on the glacial lakes, or bronze-backed smallmouth on our private water. Bring the catch back to the lodge and our chefs will prepare it for dinner.
Professionally Guided Pheasant Hunting
Afternoon pushes through fresh cover with the dogs and your guide, as the birds move and the prairie light goes gold.
Professionally Guided Dove Hunting
Some of the fastest wingshooting in America. As the afternoon heat breaks, mourning doves pour in to feed and water, darting, diving, and changing direction at the last second. Your guide sets you up where the birds are flying, and you shoot until the light fades. Expect plenty of shells spent and plenty of laughs. It’s the perfect tune-up for pheasant season and a September tradition across the Dakotas.
