South Dakota Dove Hunting at Double P Ranch

September marks the start of the dove migration. The first three weeks of September are the best time to hunt doves on the ranch. Dove hunting is a great way to introduce a beginning sportsman to hunting.   Dove hunting occurs primarily in the afternoon after pheasant hunting, in one of our many dove hunting fields.  If you intend to dove hunt you will need  a non-resident SD Small game license and a migratory bird certificate.  This combination allows you to hunt both dove and pheasant hunt during your stay.
