Exclusive Early Season Hunts

Giant Canada Goose/Dove hunt

Sept 1^st - Sept 15^th

Hunt Geese in the morning and doves in the evening. This three-day hunt is guided and includes lodging and meals**. The cost is $795/person.

Early Season Waterfowl

Sept 27^th - Oct 16^th

Come experience what duck hunting is all about in the famous Prairie Pothole Region of South Dakota. This three-day hunt is limited to only one group and includes all meals**, professional guide, bird cleaning, and lodging. The cost of this hunt is $995/person* (minimum four hunters).

Trophy Whitetail Archery Hunts

Sept 27^th - Oct 19^th

We are offering only three hunts for 2008. During the hunt you will encounter trophy whitetails in 140’s and above. Check out pictures of 2006 and 2007 (coming soon) deer in our photo gallery.

Hunt 1 - Pick your dates! Finish your hunt prior to October 17^th and hunt seven days with exclusive access to the entire ranch, or hunt five days between October 18^th - 31^st and your group will have exclusive access to select areas of the ranch. The cost of this hunt is $1500/person (four hunters) or $1750/person (less than four hunters). This hunt includes meals** and lodging.

Hunt 2 - A five-day hunt November 3^rd-7^th. This is a five-day hunt during the pre-rut. You will encounter trophy deer. This hunt includes meals**, lodging, and exclusive access to select areas of the ranch. The cost of this hunt is $1500/person (four hunters) or $1750/person (less than four hunters). This hunt has been booked for 2008.

Hunt 3 - A five-day hunt Nov 10^th-15^th. This is a five-day hunt during the pre-rut/rut. You will encounter trophy deer! We limit this hunt to a maximum of four hunters. The cost of this hunt is $1500/person and includes meals**, lodging, and exclusive access to select areas of the ranch.

Wild Pheasant Hunting

Oct 18^th - Jan 4^th

We spent over a decade developing habitat to sustain a wild population of pheasants. We have habitat to suit any hunter’s desire. We hunt expansive grasslands, cattail sloughs large and small, old and young shelterbelts, and numerous food plots planted specifically for pheasants. Both flushing dogs and pointing dogs thrive on our ranch. Our birds are plentiful and wild which makes for an enjoyable fair chase hunt. We offer three pheasant hunting packages. (3 hunter minimum).

Package 1 - A three-day hunt with meals**, lodging, bird cleaning, and a professional guide for $895/person.

Package 2 - A three-day hunt with meals** and lodging for $695/person.

Package 3 - A three-day hunt includes lodging for $645/person.

Combo Hunts

Waterfowl/Pheasant Hunting

Oct 18^th-Jan 5^th

Double P Ranch is located in the central flyway. We have excellent waterfowl habitat consisting of large, medium, and small sloughs, harvested fields, and miles of lakeshore. Many of our hunters shoot ducks in the morning and hunt pheasants in the afternoon. We provide decoys and place blinds for our guests to use. Licenses in South Dakota are limited. You need to enter the lottery by June. There are 10-day (100B-33) and 3-day (100Y) licenses available for Clark County. The cost of adding a guided waterfowl hunt in addition to pheasant hunting is $95/day. Bird cleaning is included with Pheasant hunt package 1 (listed above).

Antler-less Whitetail Hunting

after Nov 16^th

We practice Quality Deer Management. Every year we determine a doe harvest quota to maintain our excellent buck-to-doe ratio. We invite our guests to archery antler-less hunt during the pheasant season. The additional cost of antler-less hunting is $95/day.
